I was watching a show on Discovery Science called “Through the wormhole with Morgan Freeman”. I recommend you to watch it, it’s really a great show and sorry I can’t share the episode, I don’t wanna be another SOPA victim like Megaupload :D
The show was talking about what is time, does it exists or it’s just an illusion and can we control it or not.
There was different perspectives from different people but the most perspective that convinced me is that time doesn’t exist, it just represents the difference between actions.

The proof of this assumption is when we are bored and the difference between actions is huge we feel the time passing slowly. Although when we’re excited or active time goes by fast. Try staring at a clock or wait for somebody for 5 mins in a quiet place and another 5 mins playing your favorite game or chatting with your friend and compare the feeling of time between these different actions then you’ll know what I mean.
Another thing controlling your feel of time is your mind. When you’re in a critical situation like an accident or something you are extremely focused and your mind registers a lot of memories in a short period. Also in sleeping, when your dream is full of actions you feel that you’ve slept a lot while when you don’t remember your dream, you don’t feel that you’ve slept a lot (whether you feel rested or not). You can try this by closing windows tightly and not letting sunlight in and don’t look at a clock after you wake up, you wont be able to know what time it is.

This means that time doesn’t exist! and if you’re not yet convinced, what would happen if there wasn’t a sun and the earth was static ? simply we wouldn’t have made a 24 hours clock because there wont be something called day. We wont be able to measure a day, month or even a year. All these things are representations of the movement of the earth around the sun.
So by that, we can’t control time because it never exists.

At last I don’t know if this is the actual meaning of time but it seems pretty logical to me.

Am I successful ?

«كل ابن آدم خطاء، وخير الخطَّائين التوّابون »
This is a “Hadith” or narration in Islam by prophet Muhammad that says that everyone makes mistakes but the best are who learn from their mistakes and doesn’t repeat them.
That’s what we really need to do because life is full of ups and downs and you can’t be right all the time or even wrong all the time.
Its a wave and the height you reach after hitting the bottom is representing how powerful you are and this rule doesn’t apply only on individuals but on teams like in sports or companies or even a whole country
Am I successful ? When you ask yourself this question that means that you doubt being successful and when you doubt that you try to prove it. This gives you a push forward towards success and if you ask yourself this question repeatedly then you are successful but that’s just for a while ! That’s why we shouldn’t forget asking ourselves this question again and again to keep moving forward

Clashes from the future

I witnessed a revolution in my country “Egypt” (and actually its still running, people aren’t satisfied yet). I only witnessed it I can’t say that I participated in it :D , I was a little bit scared and naive. The more important thing is not only my country had protests , tens of countries had, in every continent, no matter if its a developing country or not. Here’s a list of protests in 2011 and the number is huge, more than any passed year, more than any year in the human history (I’m very bad at history by the way :D) and may be 2012 will have more protests and more people dying for their rights.

What I’m trying to say is the future is not going to be handy at all !! Its harder than you think because the number of people is growing fast and the resources are limited. The more people the more protests because the governments aren’t so good with dealing with problems and they will not ! there’s no hero that gonna assure you a happy life forever. You are supposed to be that hero to yourself because everyone works for his benefit, the more people the more benefits and we all know that all benefits cannot stand on the same side.
Its a war, a war that cannot be dealt with guns. Only actions and legal ones so you don’t end up in jail :D
A war for food, a war for health, its an every day war for living and its getting harder every day so get ready for it because you’re already late!
I’m not gonna waste your time but in the end just consider the following five facts….

  1. Approximately 1 billion people throughout the world go to bed hungry every single night.
  2. Approximately 28 percent of all children in developing countries are considered to be underweight or have had their growth stunted as a result of malnutrition.
  3. Every 3.6 seconds someone starves to death and three-quarters of them are children under the age of 5.
  4. “Least developed countries” spent 9 billion dollars on food imports in 2002. By 2008, that number had risen to 23 billion dollars.
  5. A study by the World Institute for Development Economics Research discovered that the bottom half of the world population owns approximately 1 percent of all global wealth.
